Naperville, IL - December 18, 2006

Naperville-based Black Line Consulting, an information technology consulting firm, has acquired Elgin-based Frontline Technology. This is Black Line’s second acquisition this year. It acquired Batavia-based Hyperliant Consulting in August. More acquisitions are planned for next year, said Black Line spokeswoman Jeanne Buddingh. “Black Line is aggressively seeking other companies to acquire and have plans for two to three more acquisitions in 2007, mainly the Chicagoland market,” Buddingh said.

Black Line was founded in 1993 and provides strategic “chief information officer” services, network and software services. The value of the deal wasn’t disclosed. Frontline had three employees and only one will go with Black Line. That boosts Black Line’s work force to 15. “Black Line plans to grow,” said Buddingh. “They are actively seeking two more employees in the next 30 days for administrative and sales.”

Frontline President James Dansdill and Black Line Managing Partner and owner Jody Jankovsky signed an agreement stating that Black Line Consulting would take ownership of Frontline immediately. Jankovsky said former Frontline clients will continue to be served by an engineer who is familiar with them and their environment. Senior consultant Rob Schrader, formerly of Frontline, has joined the Black Line team and will continue to serve clients, said Buddingh.
